Money is evil

Money is the root cause of all evil is probably the biggest myth of our lifetime. This myth derails the progress of several individuals and treats money as an enemy. It also creates a rift between individuals who have money and those who don’t have money.

Money is simple. It is a device or a method of exchange. What you choose to do with money and how you use it is where the importance lies. You don’t have to love money, but surely you can love what money can buy and put it to good use. If you believe that you have enough money, commit it to a noble cause. Money derives its intrinsic value from you. It is your values that matter since money on its own does not have value. A ten-dollar bill may be monetarily worth ten dollars. From a real value, it could be a lifesaver, worth several million for someone who can buy food, or worth less than a nickel for someone who has no appreciation of it.

Money is just another attribute in nature. Like anything else, it is abundant and available to us. The equilibrium is sustained through various elements and money plays a role in that equilibrium. The key is to not be attached to it, like how you should with everything else in nature. Remember that money can be taken away from you. If you get attached to it and place your worth based on how much money you have then that is when problems start to arise. You would have moved away from who you are - the true abundant self.

This is where charity comes into a place. A tight-fisted person will not receive unless the person is ready to open up and give. Money can save nations, families, individuals, and you. The next time you hear someone say “money is the root cause of all evil,” just refer them back to what Mark Twain said, “The lack of money is the root of all evil.”
